High cholesterol and other fatty substances in the blood can cause clots to form inside the blood vessels, narrowing the blood vessels, making it difficult for blood to flow. Sometimes, this build-up, called plaque, can damage the lining of the blood vessels and cause a clot to form. When these clots block the blood flow to the heart, it causes a heart attack. If it obstructs the blood flow to the brain, it causes a stroke.
Ecosprin AV 150/20 Capsule contains atorvastatin, which works by lowering the "bad" cholesterol and increasing the "good" cholesterol in the body; aspirin, on the other hand, prevents blood clots.
