About this medicine
Oxra 10 mg Tablet is a prescription medication used to manage uncontrolled type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and children above 10 years. It is also indicated to treat chronic kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes and reduce the risk of hospitalization due to heart failure. It contains Dapagliflozin, an SGLT2 inhibitor, and is prescribed when lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise or previous treatments with a single oral antidiabetic medication have failed to control blood sugar levels. Uncontrolled diabetes can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, such as heart attack and stroke, as well as kidney problems, nerve damage, vision loss, and slow wound healing.
Unlike older diabetes medications that focus on insulin, Oxra 10 mg Tablet helps the body eliminate excess sugar through urine.
It is important to note that this medication is not for treating Type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
How to use

Do not stop or alter the dose of Oxra 10 mg Tablet without consulting your doctor, as this may prevent you from achieving the desired outcome.
