Wegovy 1.7mg FlexTouch is administered as a once-weekly injection. It is generally injected under the skin in your abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Get the injection on the same day each week, at a similar time, to maintain consistent levels in your body. Along with the treatment, maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly for maximum benefits.
The most common side effects of Wegovy 1.7mg FlexTouch include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. These are usually mild to moderate and tend to improve as the body adjusts to treatment. Eating smaller meals or avoiding heavy, fried foods may help ease symptoms like nausea or an upset stomach. If you experience severe or persistent side effects, consult your doctor for advice.
Before starting Wegovy 1.7mg FlexTouch, inform your doctor about any medical conditions you have, particularly a history of pancreatitis, eye problems caused by diabetes (diabetic retinopathy), thyroid cancer, or severe gastrointestinal problems. This medicine is not recommended for individuals with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or those with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).
Additionally, discuss with your doctor if you are on medications for type 2 diabetes, such as insulin or sulfonylureas; combining Wegovy 1.7mg FlexTouch with these medications can increase the risk of low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia). Your doctor may need to adjust your medicine dosage to ensure safe use.
How to use
Wegovy FlexTouch Injection is intended for subcutaneous use only and should be administered by an endocrinologists, internal medicine specialists, and cardiologists. It should be injected into areas of the body with a layer of fat just beneath the skin, such as the upper thigh, upper arm, or abdomen. Do not inject Wegovy FlexTouch into a muscle (intramuscularly) or vein (intravenously). To reduce the risk of skin irritation, the injection site should be rotated each week. Do not attempt to self-administer this medication. Your endocrinologists, internal medicine specialists, and cardiologists will determine the appropriate dosage based on your medical condition and how you respond to treatment. Do not stop or alter the dose of Wegovy FlexTouch Injection without consulting your endocrinologists, internal medicine specialists, and cardiologists, as this may prevent you from achieving the desired result. Each injection pen is meant for single-person use only.
Possible Side Effects

Other possible effects include dizziness, mild increased heart rate (tachycardia), headache, infections, and indigestion. Although severe & rare side effects may occur and require immediate medical attention. These include pancreatitis, acute kidney injury, worsening of diabetic retinopathy, gastroparesis (slowed or stopped stomach emptying), bowel obstruction, gallbladder-related complications such as gallstones, medullary thyroid cancer and bile duct blockage.
Use of Wegovy Injection may lead to noticeable physical changes as a result of rapid weight loss. One such effect is loss of facial fat, which can make the face appear hollow or sunken. This may be associated with features such as sunken eyes, increased wrinkles, sagging around the jawline (jowls), and changes in the appearance of the lips, cheeks, or chin.
Storage Information
Store in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Do not freeze.
After the first use of the pen, store below 30°C or in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C). Do not freeze.
Keep the pen cap on in order to protect from light.
Discard pen 6 weeks after first use.
Do not store the pen with a needle attached.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use Wegovy 1.7 mg FlexTouch Injection past its expiration date printed on the package. Dispose of expired or unused medications properly according to local guidelines or take them to a pharmacy take-back program.
